WORKERS' COMPENSATION SUMMARY
Aggressive claims management – Any TPA can process claims, but an aggressive TPA will manage the claim from the first report of injury, helping to strategically guide you through process. ECP advises the employer of their options and analyzes treatments to ensure the utmost employer protection, while making sure the employee is rehabilitated and able to return to work in a timely manner.
Scheduled Claims Review – Do you only talk to your claims rep when you call them? ECP firmly believes in constant contact on all claims as well as regularly scheduled meetings to review them in greater detail. While you don’t need to know everything about the claim, it is important to review progress and potential pitfalls.
15k Program Management – Rather than paying for smaller medical claims out of pocket, many are filed through the BWC and later charged back to the employer through higher rates over the next four years. ECP can manage the entire program with our Premium Management Program. The bill is tracked, adjusted to the same cost the BWC pays (UCR), and paid on the employer’s behalf making it seamless to the company.
Strategic settlements – ECP has an outstanding track record for settling those “impossible” claims.
Professional Handicap Reimbursement Review – In our opinion, this is the most neglected part of claims management. Unlike a settlement, the employee usually isn’t involved in a handicap reimbursement review. The BWC recognizes 26 pre-existing conditions that are eligible for a discount up to 100% on the claim. ECP retains a former BWC physician and receives some of the highest awards in the state, resulting in lower rates and premium employer reimbursement.
Medical Claim Request/Allowance Review – Claims can tend to have allowances for conditions granted that weren’t affected by an employee’s injury. ECP reviews all medical conditions applied for on each claim.
Independent Medical Exams – In some cases, it is advantageous to have the employee reviewed by a neutral physician if the current treatment and/or restrictions are questionable.
Detailed Claims Reports – Informative claims reports are instantly available to our clients as well as 15k medical only program, wage continuation, settlement and handicap reimbursement analyses.
VOC Rehab – ECP provides this service on a case-by-case basis to help with transitional work programs, which help the employee to return to work and be as effective as possible until he or she is fully recovered.
