How We Serve Our Clients

ECP provides a state of the art system designed specifically for self-insured employers and their unique requirements. We are confident that our staff and system provides the best possible results.

Strategic Claims Management

Your claims manager will have a plan in place for initial injury reporting and investigation. They will also guide your injured employees and their medical provider through their claims process to ensure your employees receive the appropriate treatment needed to return them back to work. Our on-staff nurses will provide case management and C-9 reviews.

Return to Work

Our goal at ECP is to work with you, your employee and the medical provider for a return to work in a safe and timely manner without any further incident.

Claims Prevention

Our claims managers are trained to gather information on the frequency and severity of work related injuries impacting your business. Based on the data gathered, your claims manager will coordinate a plan for safety and prevention of work related injuries.

Claims Investigation

Once your claims manager has been made aware of a new claim, four point contacts are made on each claim.

  • Injured Worker
  • Employer
  • Provider
  • Attorney (As needed)

The four point contact is the key to investigating each claim. These initial calls allow our claims managers to obtain pertinent information from all parties and analyze the claim. Once we have feedback on the claims, we will present our evidence to our client with an action plan.

Reserving:

The reserving of a claim is an estimation of what the potential financial impact of the claim is from open to close. Your claims manager will review each individual claim to make recommendations.

The reserve amount is calculated based on several factors:

  • Knowledge of each individual claim
  • Diagnosis
  • Return to work status
  • Medical documentation
  • Legal Representation

We understand it is a privilege to be a self-insured employer in the State of Ohio and our experienced staff will diligently work with your company to define your program preferences, standards and requirements giving you the peace of mind that you have worked so hard for.
